what kind of fishing rod should i get?

im gonna be biking and the rods gonna be in my pack so i want something small i like the daiwa mini system but is it a good stick, i also would like someshing very durable, maybe an ugly stick
and i will be freshwater fishing for bass, perch, and panfish of that sort
