It’s a great reel, that’s why they’ve made them for so many years. It does need to be used in the method it was designed for. It will hold about 275 yards of 30 lb test. It’s not a bait casting reel. It’s designed for bottom fishing or trolling. It’s also not designed for fishing for sharks. It’s designed to catch fish in roughly the 30 lb class, although it can probably double that with drag settings.
